Ogawa Metal Works Co., Ltd. designs, manufactures, and installs decorative metal fittings, architectural metal fittings, and metal signs in Fukuoka Prefecture. They are also working on capital investment and efficiency, and currently many products can be manufactured using their own equipment, allowing them to deliver and install in a short time. Ogawa Metal Works introduced our pipe bender (MG030) in 2018. We spoke to them about what prompted them to do so and the benefits they have experienced since introducing it.

The reason for introducing MG030

It all started when we received an order for a product that required a large amount of bending. This product had to be delivered all over the country, from the Kanto region to Okinawa, so the delivery deadline was extremely tight, and cost reduction was also a major issue. Therefore, rather than relying on outsourcing, we decided to consider in-house production of the manufacturing process. This was because we thought that by moving in-house, we would be able to shorten delivery times and control manufacturing costs.
Apparently, our bender caught their eye while searching the internet, and after comparing it with other companies' products and considering the price and ease of implementation, they selected our product.

It can be installed as both a fixed or mobile machine, and they commented that its compact size compared to other companies' productsis a plus. Ogawa Metal Works uses the mobile version, allowing them to flexibly change locations depending on the work being done and the situation at the time. It hasled to a cost reduction of 800,000 yen per month in outsourcing costs for bending work. In addition, the operation is simple; simply clamp the pipe between the former and bending die and step on the pedal to bend, so anyone can operate it.
