Reason for updating pressure test equipment

Due to the aging of the entire facility, the company considered updating its pressure test equipment. Before the update, the water-tube type pressure test equipment had many breakdowns, and repair parts had to be made to order, which increased the delivery time and cost, which was one of the reasons why the update became a high priority. In addition, the water tank used for the pressure testing of the water-tube type pressure test equipment was located inside the pit, so cylinder had to be raised and lowered every time a test was performed, which posed an issue in terms of work efficiency.

Since the client wanted to upgrade to equipment that would improve work efficiency and free up space for work, we proposed the fully automatic non-water tank pressure test equipment (DNS-430E).

Benefits of updating pressure test equipment

Improved work efficiency and processing capacity

The pressure test involves four steps: water injection, pressure resistance, drainage, and drying. Previously, after each step, we had to press the start button for the next step, and the water injection step required manually attaching a nozzle, but now that theseare all automated, we no longer have to check the state of cylinder in front of the device. This means we can spend more time on marking and visual inspections, which has improved work efficiency. Securing work space was an issue before the upgrade, but now that the width of the device has been reduced by about half, we can work in a more spacious area. The pressure test processing capacity,which took about four minutes per bottle with the previous device, can now be completed in about two and a half minutes.

Furthermore, with the previous equipment, the pressure resistance process was carried out inside a pit, making it difficult to detect faulty parts and perform maintenance. With the updated equipment, the location of each process can be clearly identified, making it easier for the customer to perform daily maintenance themselves. Furthermore, the test pressure is displayed numerically on the panel, making it easier to check.
