Senior employee K.K, Industrial Equipment Department, joined in 2019
Promote products through machine demonstrations, exhibitions, etc.
I am currently in the Industrial Equipment Division, where I sell industrial equipment such as welding machines, Bessey clamps, cutting machines, and pipe processing machines. These machines are used to weld, fix, cutting, and bend iron, stainless steel, and aluminum handled in metal working, and the processed iron becomes parts for machines that manufacture things that you usually see around town, such as cars and handrails. The main sales methods are visiting customers and exhibitions. When visiting, we demonstrate how to use the products, promote and promote each product, and are present at the time of delivery to explain how to use them. Exhibitions are held all over the country, including Osaka, Kagawa, Okayama, Kyoto, Ishikawa, and Toyama, and we participate in about six exhibitions a year. We promote the products on display to customers who visit, and if they like them, we sell them on the spot.
Sales where you can be involved in manufacturing
In my previous job, I was in sales for a manufacturer, handling finished products, and when I changed jobs, I wanted to sell products related to manufacturing rather than finished products, so I was mainly looking for manufacturing manufacturers. . Among them, Daido Kogyo handles machines used in various fields, and I thought it would be a good place to touch the roots of manufacturing, so it caught my eye. Also, since we handle products both domestically and internationally, such as in Italy and Germany, I thought it would be an opportunity to actually go overseas and improve my skills.
Engage in manufacturing and keep learning new things
The most rewarding part is being able to be involved in manufacturing. Although I am not directly involved in manufacturing, when I see the finished product made using the machine I proposed, I can feel that I have contributed to manufacturing, and it is a foundation for creating familiar items that many people use. It makes me feel proud. Also, since iron is present in every corner of our lives, it can be found in a wide range of industries. I've been able to learn new things from customers on-site, and see things behind the scenes that I would never get to see in my normal life, and even after four years, I'm still discovering new things every day, which is very refreshing and fascinating. think.
Communication is proactive
We communicate a lot both inside and outside the company and place importance on building good interpersonal relationships. Within the company, we make sure to thoroughly communicate information. I believe that by sharing information, we can help each other solve problems that we cannot solve on our own. Hourenso may be a matter of course for working people, but I am consciously working to ensure that I do not neglect this common sense. We also believe that a good relationship with our customers means gaining their trust. When we visit our customers, we often take a close look at their surroundings, such as inside factories and offices. From there, you can learn about the customer's preferences and hobbies, which can be a starting point for conversation. I believe that it is important to be interested in the other person and talk to them.
A person who can act for others
I want to be someone who is trusted and entrusted to both inside and outside the company. In particular, I want customers to think, ``If I talk to Mr. K, he will do something for me.'' Even in our fourth year, we still have products that we have never sold, and even when we receive similar inquiries, we are not always satisfied with the same model. I would like to build relationships where people can consult with me and gain experience by visiting the sites many times so that I can make the best proposals for each customer. As my career at the company increases, I feel that my desire to think ``for people'' has become stronger, and I want to continue to act without forgetting my original intentions.
